From chef Charlie Brown of the now-defunct Michael Jordan’s and designer Matthew O’Malley, comes this recent entry to the Chicago comfort food scene. O’Malley has painstakingly restored an abandoned, turn of the century firehouse on the city's South Side. Although the feel is still distinctly antique, the result is a workable, modern restaurant with a sprawling, casual bar, a more formal dining area, and several party rooms.
The menu is a land-locked delight, featuring some refurbished comfort classics as well as unpretentious favorites on the order of burgers and pizza.
