A pinnacle event in fine dining, Everest offers a phenomenal view of Chicago from its 40th floor perch. Chef John Joho's New French cuisine is among the top rated in the city, offering elegant favorites such as foie gras terrine with marinated figs, and filet of wild sea bass wrapped and roasted in potato. The $79 seven-course tasting menu is a good value, but if you're out for a night of theatre, the $39 Pre-theatre (5:30 PM) four-course menu is your best bet. The tranquil setting, sophisticated decor, and extraordinary service make for an exquisite evening.
