Rick Tramonto and Gale Gand, the husband and wife co-creators of Tru, have achieved their own aspirations and perhaps surpassed their competitions' as well. This relatively new offering to Chicago's haute cuisine scene spares no expense and overlooks no detail in bringing its customers the kind of dining experience that can only be described as art. Although the surroundings and presentation may lend themselves to intimidation (as most certainly the check will), ordering is remarkably easy if you don't mind being delightfully surprised. Each menu selection is broadly categorized and prepared according to the chef's discretion, and almost all of our voters have great things to say about the results.
